Hey everyone, my name is Ashland. I was born and raised around beautiful Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia, with three loves in life: horses, heels, and horsepower! Unfortunately, most of my shoe collection is not dock safety approved, but you will see a few of the boots in the colder months. My horsepower spot is full of helping work on power boats and on the great days tagging along for a run down the lake! My last love, horses, is filled by team roping, heading more specifically. A header’s job is to catch the horns and guide the steer so their partner, or heeler, can catch the heels, fastest time wins! My goal is to rope in Las Vegas at the World Series of Team Roping Finals, held annually at South Point Hotel & Casino. Maybe we will see you there, in the meantime stop into the Goodhue Blackwater location and say hi!
